COSTA BRAVA: Owner Recommendations
The Costa Brava has a total length of nearly 100 kilometers. Begins in the town of Blanes and covers up the town of Port Bou on the French border. In the south of the Costa Brava the region of La Selva is located between the town of Blanes and Palamos (in this region is the town of Vidreres).
The Romans also had realized that it is very comfortable on the Costa Brava. In the several fisherman villages remains of this time, as jewel Castle Tossa de Mar. The climate (in winter the temperature rarely drops below 0 degrees and summer rarely rises above 30 degrees) provides the opportunity to enjoy all year round from the beautiful rocky coastline and many sandy beaches. Together with the friendly nature of the local population, the rich historical past, the lovely green hills and varied cuisine, the Costa Brava a holiday region with much to offer. Over the years, attracted by these riches, many famous visual arts and literature have found here in various places, tranquility and peace.
In recent decades, many tourists have discovered the Costa Brava district La Selva. This has resulted in many positive changes in total infrastructure. So Girona airport, where several airlines flying like RyanAir (www.ryanair.com) and Transavia (www.transavia.com) has grown internationally to become a major gateway to the many attractions of the Costa Brava . A flight from Rotterdam and Eindhoven only lasts one hour and three quarters! In Girona airport is possible to rent a car Budget (www.budget.com), Hertz (www.hertz.com) or Europcar (www.europcar.com). The airport is connected by aotobuses services to different parts of the coast. The most important railway station is located in Blanes. Here for the train from Girona to Barcelona, a stunning drive along the coast with beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Costa Brava from the cultural point of view:
The capital of this same province, Girona, is one of the most important historical part of all Spain. This mythical city lies on the banks of the Onyar in the area of the Selva, just at the point where the Ter, Onyar, Guell and Galligant rivers. Therefore, for over 2000 years, this city is a crossing point for the market and different cultures. It's a cross between transport and communication which, over the years, have fought fiercely. Do not miss the Cathedral of Santa Maria, with its impressive tombs, the cloister of Sant Pere de Galligants, the Arab baths and the church of Sant Feliu. Apart from this, you will find a nice maze of shopping streets in the old city center.

The Barcelona metropolis is not part of the Costa Brava. However you can not miss a visit to this amazing city during your stay in Costa Brava. This adventurous city only is 80 kilometers, and there you will find a comfortable combination of traditional and modern. You will find many museums, including, among others, Gaudi and Miro, and cathedrals, like the famous Sagrada Familia. In the center you can go shopping in charming streets or the modern Port Olympic. For sports lovers should not miss a visit to the stadium of football club. From the train station near Blanes can take the train to Barcelona-Sants station (journey time approximately 1 hour), where you can make a complete tour of the city through the routes of the tourist bus (3 routes - 44 stops) http://www.tmb.cat/en_US/turistes/busturistic/busturistic.jsp.En this great city will also find an international airport (BCN-El Prat).

Lloret de Mar
This place, which is located 80 kilometers from Barcelona, became famous in Europe as a cosmopolitan resort with a lively nightlife. However, memories of the past perfectly combine with lovely sandy beaches. Lloret was formed by pre-Roman settlements, which can still be visited. The most important points of these architectural treasures are the church of San Roma, the castle of Sant Joan and many chappels.
Also appreciate the botanical gardens in Blanes Marimutra. Here you will find over 3000 different kinds of plants. Vidreres is still a nice typical Catalan town that many tourists do not go, so you can mix with the Spanish population. It has a nice church in the center, surrounded by shops. Previously, Lloret, as well as the picturesque nearby site of Tossa de Mar, 11 kilometers, was related to shipbuilding and fishing, but by the middle of the twentieth century made the switch to tourism. This offers a nice combination of the charisma of the old center with a maze of streets with shops, and an active nightlife with a huge variety of bars and nightclubs.
In the wide beach offers various water sports. Good communication of Lloret de Mar and the many activities like golf, water park, dolphinarium, riding schools and sports centers offer a pleasant holiday.
